Sidcup & District Motorcycle Club ran another well-attended motocross, at Canada Heights circuit, near Swanley.
There was a full line-up in all five groups, ranging from juniors to experts, as well as an Over-35 series. Perfect motocross weather lead to a dust-free meeting.
The expert races were close-run events with local riders dominating. Ben Taylor, from Purley, fighting late entry Danny Smyth, from Scaynes Hill, through all the races, with Smyth keeping the 250 Suzuki right with the 450 Honda of Taylor all day long, making Taylor work hard to earn his three wins.
Tom Fuller, from Upper Norwood, followed up with a second and third place, while David Williams, also from Upper Norwood, took two seconds and a third.
In the visiting NGR class, Lee Keyton, from Suffolk, took all three races on his 250 Yamaha with Matt Dye, from Leiston, on the 450 Honda, taking second in all three races.
In the Juniors, Dene Willis , from Stanford-le-Hope, and Justin Stevenson, from Tooting, shared a win and second each, while Mark Taylor came all the way from Leeds to take two thirds.
Results, reports, and many photos are available on the club’s website www.sidcupmotorcycle.co.uk.
The next motocross at Canada Heights will be on the August 10 and is a round of the MR Thumpercross – a fourstroke only series.
