Gravesend rowers impress

GRAVESEND Rowing Club had five crews entered in the Maidstone Small Boats Head on Sunday.

Shaun Martin and Michael Russell won both the fastest double scull of the day and the veteran B double scull.

Carole Trowbridge and Graham Mitchel Hill won the mixed double scull.

The women's senior three entry saw Pip Mester, Maz Morris, Sandy Johnson and Carole Trowbridge, coxed by Steve Cason, take fourth place.

In the other mixed double scull, Matthew Johnson and Rachel Rickwood took second place while Johnson claimed fourth in his novice single scull category.
