Lee Bowyer gave positive news regarding the fitness of both Lyle Taylor and Lewis Page on Thursday.

Both Taylor and Page have been side-lined knee and ankle ligament injuries respectively.

Montserrat’s Taylor returned from international duty injured and has been in a protective brace for over a month, missing the Addicks’ last five fixtures.

Bowyer however shed some good news on his top-scorer’s recovery.

“It’s positive for Lyle at the moment,” he said.

“He’s still in a brace and doing strengthening work.

“We’re looking to take the brace off next Monday, so in two weeks’ time we’ll look to take him outside and start running as long as everything goes ok.

“He’s got to see a specialist again, but Lyle feels good and the physio feels he’s ahead of schedule.”

Lewis Page has yet to feature for Charlton this season having picked up an ankle injury in pre-season, but Bowyer confirmed things were looking up for the former West Ham man.

“Lewis will be going outside next week and start running, so that’s progression!”
