Millwall will host Chris Hughton’s Brighton on Sunday afternoon as both sides will battle it out for a FA Cup semi-final place at Wembley.

Neil Harris’ side have knocked out AFC Wimbledon in the last round, but also attained the scalps of Everton along their way to the quarter-finals.

Brighton on the other hand have brushed aside two championship sides already in the competition, West Brom and Frank Lampard’s Derby County.

Both teams bring momentum with them to the match, as with relegation looming they start the match on Sunday on the back of huge away victories. Brighton defeated rivals Crystal Palace, while Millwall managed a 2-0 victory against play-off chasing Birmingham.

The Lions will be hoping to maul the Seagulls, as they are undefeated at home in the FA Cup under Neil Harris and will be looking to add Brighton to their list of Premier League scalps.

Either side boast a veteran striker and Brighton’s Glenn Murray is a name that Millwall fans will have be accustomed to hearing on a regular basis.

The 35 year old has already hit double figures this season in the Premier League and has become pivotal to the seagull’s survival in the top flight since his move from Bournemouth in 2017.

Having served much of his trade in the Championship, Murray has played against Millwall at The Den on numerous occasions and is said to be trying to explain what to expect to his foreign collogues.

Speaking to the Telegraph Murray said: “We will sit them down and give them the heads up. They have probably never been anywhere like that before because there is nowhere more difficult than this.”

Manager – Chris Hughton

Since his appointment in 2014, Houghton has transformed Brighton from a mid-table Championship side to being a Premier League side who are yet to endure a real relegation battle despite the odds being stacked against them.

Having not been given a proper chance at his former club Norwich in the top flight, Houghton has been a man on a mission to prove his doubters and more importantly former employers wrong.

Since promotion, Houghton has recruited some unheard of talent from across the globe and has reaped the benefits with Brighton all but safe from relegation again this season.

“I went to see them on Wednesday night against Birmingham City.” Houghton revealed

“I thought they were very good, It will be a difficult, tough game.”

“We’ll start the games as favorites because we are the top flight team but they’re in front of their supporters on the back of a Premier League scalp.

“It is about knowing what to expect and we have to deal with it on Sunday, there won’t be anybody around here that will underestimate the opposition.”
