CROYDON Foxes traveled to Benenden School on Saturday to compete in the Kent schools under-19s tournament.
The Chislehurst-based side were the only state school to take part in the prestigious tournament and impressed in the group stages by defeating Kings Canterbury 8-0, Benenden C 5-0 and Benenden B 5-1.
Their only defeat in the group came in the final game when they went down 3-2 to Walthamstow Hall, a result which ensured runners-up spot and a meeting with Benenden A in the semi-final.
Foxes competed gamely, but were never able to control sufficient possession to trouble Benenden and ended up chasing the game and losing 5-0.
Benenden comfortably won the final against Walthamstow Hall.
The squad's efforts were recognised as all of the players have been called up to represent Kent at either under-15 or under-19 level this Saturday against Hertfordshire.
Foxes desperately need to attract new boy and girl players aged between 10 and 18.
If you would like to try lacrosse, join the Foxes any Saturday morning at 9.30am at the Old Elthamians ground, Chislehurst.
