Player ratings from Charlton's 1-0 win over Portsmouth...
Ben Amos - 8 - Pulled off two fantastic saves to deny Stuart O’Keefe and Brett Pitman. Solid display.
Ezri Konsa - 8 - He’s a centre-back playing as a full-back and you wouldn't have even noticed. Made a crucial last-ditch block to thwart Kal Naismith. Man of the match.
Patrick Bauer - 8 - Dealt comfortably with Pitman, who has scored 23 goals this season.
Jason Pearce - 7 - He was back at his old club and his fine form continued today.
Lewis Page - 8 - You can see why he’s currently ahead of Jay Dasilva in the pecking order. His winger never beat him. Went off injured, but hopefully it’s not serious.
Ben Reeves - 5 - His volley hit the post following the restart, but apart from that, he struggled to have an impact on the game.
Ahmed Kashi - 8 - Starting his first game in almost two months, he was Charlton’s enforcer at Fratton Park. Misplaced a couple of passes, but a bit of rustiness would have been expected.
Jake Forster-Caskey - 8 - He performs better with Kashi alongside him. His set-pieces were on point again.
Tariqe Fosu - 6 - He looked threatening until an injury ended his afternoon in the second-half.
Josh Magennis - 8 - Similarly to his Shrewsbury performance, his hold-up play was superb. It’s a goal and an assist in two games now.
Nicky Ajose - 7 - He kept on losing the ball in the final third before his opener. It’s his first Charlton goal since December 2016. His movement caused Portsmouth’s defence major problems in the second-half.
Subs:
Jay Dasilva - 6
Mark Marshall - 6
Sullay Kaikai - N/A
