AFC Wimbledon will have a pitch inspection tomorrow ahead of Charlton’s visit on Saturday.

Heavy snow has hit the UK this week putting many Football League games at risk.

The Addicks already have two games in hand, and boss Karl Robinson is wary of having more midweek fixtures to play.

A Charlton statement said: “The club have been informed that a pitch inspection will be carried out at the Cherry Red Records Stadium at 12pm on Friday afternoon to determine whether Saturday's fixture against AFC Wimbledon will be able to go ahead.

“Following this week's adverse weather conditions, and with more snow scheduled prior to the weekend, concerns have, understandably, been raised regarding the likelihood of the pitch being playable.

“The EFL have agreed for an inspection to be carried out in good time to ensure supporters can plan accordingly in the event of a postponement.

“The club will keep supporters informed on the result of Friday's pitch inspection as soon as possible.”
