Oxford United completed a late turnaround to stun Charlton at the Valley.

Goals from Todd Kane and Ryan Ledson shocked the Addicks.

James Henry had cancelled out Ahmed Kashi’s opener, before Josh Magennis’ first goal in 15 games looked to have secured the points for the Addicks.

But Kane’s late equaliser and Ledson's injury-time winner denied Charlton the chance of moving into the play-offs.

Karl Robinson made two changes to the side that beat Walsall with Tariqe Fosu and Jake Forster-Caskey coming in for Ben Reeves and Joe Aribo.

Both clubs were fresh off a two-week break after their respective games were called off last weekend.

Charlton started brightly with Stephy Mavididi and Fosu looking menacing, the latter drove forward and forced a good save from Simon Eastwood.

But Oxford threatened after Jon Obika, who spent two loan spells at the Valley, struck the bar from 20 yards.

Fosu, who was starting his first game since November, was Charlton’s brightest player of the half, but missed a golden opportunity to put them ahead.

Magennis’ brilliant cross found an unmarked Fosu in the box and the winger couldn't connect with the ball to fire home.

Charlton continued to dominate, however, they failed to create any meaningful chances up until the break.

Magennis had a sight of goal after the restart and saw his effort palmed away by Eastwood.

The most unlikeliest scorer broke the deadlock for Charlton after Kashi directed the ball past Eastwood in the 63rd minute. Oxford equalised with 14 minutes remaining through former Millwall man James Henry. The winger cut in to curl the ball home from 20 yards.

But the Addicks regained their advantage just two minutes later when Jay Dasilva dispossessed Kane to cross for Magennis, who broke his goal drought with a simple tap-in.

The late drama would not end as Kane’s strike broke Charlton fans’ hearts before Ledson’s side-footed finish snatched a late win for the visitors.
