Millwall are leading the race to sign Nottingham Forest winger Jamie Ward on loan.

Ward, 31, has struggled for game time at the County Ground this season.

And the Northern Ireland winger is attracting interest from Championship and League One clubs.

But the Nottingham Post claims Millwall are favourites to land his signature.

The Lions need cover in the wide areas following an ankle injury to Aiden O’Brien, who will miss tonight's clash with Derby. Jed Wallace and Shane Ferguson are the only fit widemen at the club.

Ward would bring a huge amount of Championship experience to the Lions after successful spells with Derby, Nottingham Forest and Burton.

Millwall have signed Jason Shackell, Harry Toffolo and club legend Tim Cahill so far this month.
