Charlton boss Karl Robinson says his team deserved to be booed by their own fans in the 2-1 defeat to Gillingham.

Naby Sarr could have done better for both goals, and home supporters turned on the French defender, chanting for Robinson to substitute him.

Robinson told News Shopper: “I thought we were all getting booed - we deserved it.

“I thought it was for all of us. I didn't notice it being directed at one player.

“We started slowly. I thought Tom Eaves made us look very weak and fundamentally we didn't take our chances in the second-half.

“That’s been the case for the last few weeks or so.

“We didn't play well in the first-half and we missed five glaring opportunities in the second-half.

“Even on set pieces, the ball was dropping to us but we couldn't sort our feet out in time. We’re not scoring enough goals at the moment.”
