Karl Robinson celebrates one-year as Charlton manager tomorrow, and he joked: “I might get a cake off Roland!”

He is the longest-serving Addicks boss under unpopular owner Roland Duchatelet, and surpassed Guy Luzon’s record of nine months in September.

Robinson, the Belgian tycoon’s seventh Valley manager, has taken Charlton from mid-table strugglers to promotion contenders in League One.

“It’s not about me, I think you know me by now, it’s about the players and supporters.

“I’m proud to still be here. It’s another chapter and storyline for you, but from my perspective it’s not something that crosses my mind.

“Although, every now and then, jovially, we have a laugh and a joke about the time span of a manager here.
