Charlton defender Ezri Konsa is dreaming of a senior England call-up.

Former Addicks trainee Joe Gomez made his debut for the national team against World Cup holders Germany on Friday.

And Konsa, who won the Under-20 World Cup with England in the summer, believes he could make the step-up to the first-team if he keeps improving.

He is forming a good partnership with Patrick Bauer in a Charlton defence which kept three clean sheets last month.

Everton and Arsenal target Konsa, 20, told Valley Pass: “I want to play for my country.

“It makes me even more hungrier knowing I believe in myself.

“So I think if I keep doing what I’m doing, keep improving and listening to the coaches, I could possibly go far and who knows? I could play for the first-team.”
