Millwall star Shaun Williams has given an encouraging update on his injury.

Williams, 31, has been crocked since suffering a knee problem in the 2-1 victory over Reading in September.

And the Lions have missed the influential midfielder, winning just one of their six games without him.

But Williams is now running on an anti-gravity treadmill, which helps cardiovascular work without stressing injuries, as he steps up his recovery.

He said: “Feels good to run again brace off on Friday as well #bebacksoon.”

Williams, who was an ever-present in Neil Harris’ side that won promotion to the Championship last season, is expected to return to action in 2018.
