Karl Robinson has made two changes to the team that beat Rotherham last weekend.
Karlan Ahearne-Grant comes in on the wing with Billy Clarke operating in the number nine role, while Johnnie Jackson will fill in at left-back.
The Addicks’ first-choice striker Josh Magennis and Jay Dasilva are away on international duty with Northern Ireland and England’s U20s, respectively.
Club captain Jackson and Ahearne-Grant start their first league games since April.
Meanwhile, deadline day signing Joe Dodoo is on the bench.
Charlton are fifth in League One having won three of their opening four games with Oldham being kept off the foot of the table by goal difference.
Charlton XI: Amos, Solly, Bauer, Pearce, Jackson, Kashi, Forster-Caskey, Holmes, Ahearne-Grant, Fosu, Clarke.
Subs: Phillips, Konsa, Aribo, Dodoo, Sarr, Lapslie, Hackett-Fairchild.
