Udinese goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis will sign for Crystal Palace, Newcastle or Watford, his agent has confirmed.

The Eagles want a new number one after Wayne Hennessey’s disappointing performance in the 3-0 home defeat to Huddersfield on Saturday.

West Ham’s Adrian and Barcelona’s Jasper Cillessen are just some of the many names who have been linked with a move to Selhurst Park this summer.

But now, Palace boss Frank de Boer could turn his attention to Greece international Karnezis.

The 32-year-old has played over 100 games for Udinese since joining the club in 2014 - but is set to leave.

His agent Vasileios Panagiotakis told Calcionapoli24.it: “Karnezis will play in England for Watford, Newcastle United or Crystal Palace.

“The Napoli option is now definitively off the table.”
