AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley says Millwall midfielder Jimmy Abdou will be one of the first names on the team sheet.
The Dons signed Abdou on a season-long loan on Saturday, just days after the 33-year-old agreed a new one-year deal at the Den.
Abdou has won promotion twice from League One and will bring valuable experience to Wimbledon’s midfield.
Ardley told the club’s website: “He’s a top midfielder for us to have and he’s been with Millwall for nine years and come through two League One play-off finals with them.
“He’s the player in question I spoke about at 'Meet the Manager' when I told the supporters I had a main midfield target in mind that I’d hoped to get and that he would be one of the first names on the team sheet.
“I’m really pleased we’ve been able to get him for the season.”
