Millwall physio Bobby Bacic has provided an update on Aiden O’Brien – revealing the forward could be out until November.
The 22-year-old, who has scored five goals this season, hobbled off during the first-half of Saturday’s defeat against Rochdale.
O’Brien then missed the Lions’ trip to Port Vale on Tuesday, which the hosts won 3-1 to leave Neil Harris’ side 17th in League One.
Bacic has told the official Millwall website that while the injury is not too serious, O’Brien may struggle to return to training before the end of October.
He said: “Aiden has been cleared of all major structural damage.
“He has a swollen knee still and has upset a small stability ligament so will need some time to recover from that.
“If all goes well then he could be back in training towards the back end of October.”
