Charlton are “very close” to bolstering their squad with further summer signings, according to boss Russell Slade.
Speaking after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers, the Addicks manager insisted the club were preparing to replace Tareiq Holmes-Dennis.
The Charlton academy graduate joined Huddersfield last week after spending three years at the Valley as a first-team player.

“Yes, we are very close,” Slade said when asked by News Shopper if there were any imminent deals.
“I don’t want to say too much but Tareiq has gone so we need to fill that left-sided position and we will do that, we’re very close to doing that.
“And on top of that we want to bring two more players in as well.”
Slade is hoping to bring a central midfielder to SE7 before the summer window closes on Wednesday night – News Shopper understands a winger and attacking reinforcements are also being looked at.
