Crystal Palace will reportedly have the option to buy Loic Remy from Chelsea following the striker’s imminent loan move to Selhurst Park.

The Eagles sealed the club-record signing of Belgian forward Christian Benteke on Saturday but remain in the market for attacking reinforcements.

France international Remy, 29, is reportedly in Alan Pardew’s sights with a season-long loan deal close to being agreed.

And according to French outlet Le 10 Sport – via Goal – the move will include a buy-out clause believed to be in the region of £10.2m.

Remy signed a four-year deal with Chelsea in the summer of 2014 but only scored one league goal in 13 appearances last season.

Benteke made his debut for the Eagles last night as Pardew’s side beat Blackpool in the EFL Cup second round.

The former Liverpool man was busy during the first half, before being replaced by Connor Wickham at the break.
