Neil Harris has responded to the crowd trouble caused by Millwall fans at Wembley.

The Lions lost 3-1 to Barnsley in the League One play-off final and the Yorkshire outfit were deserved winners.

After the Tykes’ third goal in the 74th minute, which effectively ended the tie, Millwall fans moved towards the Barnsley end in the West upper tier.

When asked if he was aware of any disorder started by the Bermondsey-based club’s supporters, Harris said: “Only from what I’ve been told.

“So, I hope it wasn't anything serious and I hope everyone got home safely.”

And “next question” were the words that came out of Harris’ mouth when quizzed about whether he condoned that kind of behaviour from fans.

However, Millwall later issued the following statement.

It reads: “Millwall Football Club deplores the actions of a small minority of its fans during the second-half of Sunday's League One play-off final.

“Such behaviour is unacceptable and anyone found guilty of disorder will face life bans from the football club.”
