Yohan Cabaye has hailed the talent of Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester United on Saturday.

The French international has been impressed by Zaha this season and says the tricky winger possesses the quality to fit into a club such as PSG.

Zaha’s fine campaign culminated in the 23-year-old bagging the Crystal Palace Player of the Year award.

After a disastrous spell at Man United, Zaha’s career threatened to tail off but he has rediscovered the form which earned him an England call-up since his return to Selhurst.

Zaha only made two league appearances for United and Cabaye admits he is surprised the Red Devils did not offer the winger more of a chance.

He said: “For me Wilfried is an unbelievable player, he has a big, big talent and is still young.

“I don't know what happened at that time [United] but I'm just happy to have Wilf in the team. He can make a difference on the pitch and is very important to us.”

Having played for French giants PSG for over a year, Cabaye also believes Zaha has the quality to play for such a club.

“Yeah, he has that quality,” Cabaye said when asked whether Zaha could fit into a squad like PSG’s.

“As I said, he is still young so is going to learn again and again.

“Hopefully for him he will get in the England squad soon, after the Euros maybe, and if he is still playing at this level it is a chance for us.”
