Charlton are not interested in Ujpest boss Nebojsa Vignjevic as their search for a new manager continues, News Shopper understands.

Vignjevic has emerged as the bookmakers' favourite to take over in the Valley hotseat since Charlton missed out on Chris Wilder.

The former Northampton Town boss held advanced talks with Charlton chiefs but then decided to join Sheffield United on a three-year contract.

Vignjevic, currently at Hungarian club Ujpest, is as short as 6/4 with some bookmakers who predict Roland Duchatelet will once again turn to his network of clubs in the search for a new manager.

Former midfielder Vignjevic, 48, was heavily linked with a switch to SE7 in January following the departure of caretaker boss Karel Fraeye.

However, the Serbian boss is not currently in the running for the vacant Charlton position as the club bid to break the mould and appoint a British manager.
