Charlton have been dealt a transfer blow with Colchester rejecting their bid for George Moncur, according to reports.
Moncur is widely expected to leave Colchester this summer after the club suffered relegation from League One.
Several English clubs have expressed an interest in the 22-year-old, who has previously represented England U18s, with Charlton, Barnsley and Peterborough linked with a move.
However, Sky Sports say Colchester have rejected a £150,000 bid from the Addicks and hope to attract an offer of around £500,000 for his signature.
The former West Ham player scored 14 goals this season despite Colchester’s struggles in the third tier of English football.
