Callum Harriott has urged his Charlton teammates to forget about Brentford and turn their attentions to MK Dons.

Harriott scored a brace at Griffin Park on Saturday as the Addicks’ sealed their first win since January.

The winger’s opener after only 19 seconds was his first goal for the club since last December and helped Jose Riga’s team remain seven points from safety.

Harriott insisted the victory in west London was a huge result but was quick to point out the importance of Tuesday night’s clash with MK Dons.

He said: “Everyone is obviously buzzing to get back on track. It was a big win for the club which gives us hope.

“But this game is behind us now.

“We’ve got an important few days coming up so we need to recover, get our minds right again and really go ten times harder than we did at Brentford.

“We will go into Tuesday with our heads held high and really try and get another win.”

The academy graduate has been at Charlton for almost 14 years and said his brace on Saturday was the perfect birthday present having turned 22 on Friday.

“This club means a lot to me,” he added.

“I’ve been here since I was eight or nine and I turned 22 yesterday – so it was a good birthday present!”
