Newly-promoted Bournemouth have covered more ground this season than any other Premier League club, stats show.

The Cherries, who secured promotion from the Championship last season by winning the division, have made a commendable start to life in the top flight.

Eddie Howe’s charge currently sit 15th in the table – four points above the relegation zone – and recorded memorable back-to-back victories against Manchester United and Chelsea in December.

One attribute of the club’s success has been their work-rate, and EA Sports Player Performance Data show that no team has run further than Bournemouth so far this season.

High-flying Tottenham, who trail leaders Leicester City by two points, are narrowly second while West Brom, Liverpool and Man United make up the top five.

Aston Villa feature at the foot of this table as well the league, with Stoke, Manchester City and Chelsea also low down on the list.
