Karel Fraeye sees Charlton’s next game against Bristol City as "a good day" to restore their confidence.
The Addicks slipped to second bottom in the Championship following the 4-0 drubbing to Burnley on Saturday.
The result makes the Boxing Day clash at Ashton Gate even more important and it is shaping up to be a relegation six-pointer.
Speaking after the Burnley defeat, the interim boss said: “The Bristol City game is as big [a game] as today.
“We didn't come here to park the bus and try to go home with a point - in the first-half we showed the desire to attack and create.
“We need to win as fast as possible to regain the confidence.
“We had it for Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham but ok, some draws to Leeds and Bolton.
“The loss today is not helping us so we need a win - Saturday is a good day.”
The Robins are two points above Charlton in the table.
