Jack Holland's clinical second half finish was sufficient for Bromley to claim the three points at Welling United.

Park View Road is not an easy place to visit but Bromley recovered from their defeat at Tranmere Rovers to put a halt to the hosts four game winning streak.

Reece Harris created the first opening for himself but his shot was deflected into the arms of visiting goalkeeper Chris Kettings.

Harris was involved in Welling's next attack, combining well with George Porter, but his shot was deflected live for a corner.

Sam Corne stepped up and delivered a deep corner that found Michael Chambers in space and the Welling centre half rose to power home from close range.

It appeared for all the world that the visitors were in for the equaliser moments later. Anthony Cook surged through and squared for Louis Dennis who thought he had a tap in but Nortei Nortey appeared from nowhere to make a stunning goal line clearance.

Another chance came Welling's way when Corne and Porter harried the Bromley defence to give Sandro Semedo a chance to let fly but his powerful effort was deflected just wide with Kettings rooted to the spot.

Porter then had an opportunity when sent away by Harris but lobbed beyond the far post..

Corne took a knock that required medical attention for a cut above the eye and while he was off, Bromley equalised. Ali Fuseini took his time before firing into the bottom corner from just outside the area.

Alex Wall then had a shot saved by Tom King but that proved to be his last meaningful contribution before limping off to be replaced by Emmanuel Ugo Udoji.

After a Bromley free kick deflected into the area, Dennis showed great composure and skill to bring it down before firing into King's mid-drift.

At the break there was one change, Welling also had to make a change replacing injured Chambers with Harry Osborne.

Five minutes after the interval, Ricky Wellard made a marauding run but fired wide when well placed.

As the rain sheeted down, the quality of the game diminished until a flick by Moses Emmanuel sent makeshift striker Jack Holland away. His crisp conversion showed why manager Mark Goldberg gave him the responsibility.

Xavier Vidal and Sahr Kabba were introduced by Welling but Anthony Cook sent a fierce drive wide for Bromley as they looked to kill off the game.

Whilst Welling looked to try and get back into the game, Bromley looked strong on the break and Reece Prestedge fired wide after Cook held up play well.

Having used their substitutes, Welling had to play the final few minutes with ten men as Porter limped off after over-stretching.

One late Welling free kick could have nicked a point, but Bromley were not to be denied the three points that put them back into the top five.
