Bromley boss Mark Goldberg admits he is delighted with Moses Emmanuel’s sensational start to the season.

The Lewisham-born striker has been in scintillating form for the Ravens, bagging 12 goals in the club’s 13 league games.

Emmanuel’s record, which has not been bettered by any player throughout the football league, has helped Bromley recover from a difficult start to the season and move into a play-off position.

“The quality of his finishing this season has been impressive and pleasing,” Goldberg said.

“He’s shown through some really well-taken goals that he’s full of confidence.

“We’ve spoken together about his game and at the moment everything seems to be going right for him.

“He’s now playing so much more as a team player and I’ve been really impressed with his change.

“His belief and confidence is very high.”

Emmanuel, 26, added to his fine tally on Saturday with a brace as Bromley cruised to a 3-0 victory over Chester.

And Goldberg was impressed by his team’s clinical finishing in a first half which produced all the goals.

“We knew it was always going to be a difficult game,” the Bromley boss added.

“We were fortunate really that at half time we were 3-0 up as they had a number of chances

“But we were very clinical – the finishing was top-quality.

“It was a really professional performance, especially in the second half when they were coming at us.

“In a way the clean sheet was the most pleasing thing about the performance on Saturday – defensively we were very solid.”

After an indifferent start to life in the Conference – Bromley only recorded two points from their first four games – the club have won their last seven games in all competitions, scoring 22 goals in the process.

But Goldberg hopes Bromley can now push on and continue picking up points in what is a hectic period for the club.

“We’ve got a busy schedule in front of us,” he said.

“The game against Tranmere shows how far we’ve come as a club I suppose.

“When we played Grimsby earlier in the season I felt as if we gave them too much respect and were almost in awe of them rather than looking to win the game.

“I’m confident that we’ve learned our lessons and can hopefully put things right.

“We’ve got a system where every member of the squad is equally capable of playing and performing.”
