CHARLTON: Steve Gritt and Colin Powell will be guests at the next Eltham Addicks branch meeting on February 25, which takes place at the newly-opened Charlton museum.

The museum will be open from 7pm and the meeting will start at 8pm.

Admission is £2 on the door with free entry to U18s.

Alternatively you can pay a £5 seasonal membership to join Eltham Addicks, which will also include entry on the night.

Entry to the museum is behind the north stand at The Valley.

Look for the signage by the east stand turnstiles, go through the door and take the lift up to the third floor.

FOOTBALL: Orpington FC, of the Kent Invicta League, have battled through to the semi-finals of the Kent Senior Trophy, the furthest the club have reached in this competition.

A 1-0 win at Deal Town, secured thanks to Josh Froggatt’s late solo effort, set up a meeting with Greenwich Borough at Dartford FC’s Princes Park on February 28.

SWIMMING: A 14-year-old boy from Sidcup has beaten two British records for swimming in his age group in the 2014-15 season.

Henry ‘Harry’ Rennolls, set the record for 50m freestyle at the London Aquatic Centre last November with a time of 24.15s, while swimming for his school, St. Olave’s Grammar School.

He then set the record for the 50m butterfly at the same venue on January 31, winning the junior final of the ASA south zonal championships with a time of 26.28s.

Rennolls has been a member of White Oak Swimming Club for two years after previous spells at Greenwich SC and Bexley SC.

He next focuses his attention towards the British championships in April, where he will swim the 50m and 100m freestyle.
