Chelmsford City have promised to look into allegations their keeper Nicky Eyre made rude gestures to Bromley fans at the final whistle of Saturday’s encounter between the two sides.
Infuriated Lillywhites supporters took to Twitter to complain Eyre had insulted them after Chelmsford had won 1-0 at Hayes Lane and the incident has been included in the referee’s match report.

@OfficialClarets never quite seen a celebration quite like Nicky Eyres. Disgusting. I trust you, as a club, will do something about it.

The Essex club were contacted by News Shopper today to discover how those investigations were progressing.
The Chelmsford spokesman said they had still to view the video but added: "We will co-operate fully with any investigation the authorities might wish to carry out.
"If the allegation is found to be true then Chelmsford City will take appropriate internal disciplinary action."
