Millwall’s perfect start to the season continued today with a 1-0 triumph at Fulham and here are our top five standout performers from the winning trip to Craven Cottage.

David Forde – The Millwall keeper showed his international class with a string of top class saves after the break to preserve the hard-earned half-time advantage.

Forde signed a new contract in the summer, a decision which is already reaping rewards with three clean sheets from as many games.

Alan Dunne – The captain made a vital goal-line clearance to hack Hugo Rodallega’s shot off the line.

Would have been a game changer had that gone in because Fulham would have had plenty of time to get a winner.

Ricardo Fuller – Led the line superbly before being replaced by Jermaine Easter.

It was Fuller’s 12th minute cross which set up Millwall’s goal.

Martyn Woolford – Caused Fulham’s defence plenty of problems and also grabbed what proved to be the decisive early strike by converting Fuller’s delivery at the back post.

First goal of the season for him, highly unlikely to be his last.

Scott Malone – Malone almost made it 2-0 as the Lions were forced to attack on the counter after the break, only being denied what looked a certain goal by the leg of Jesse Joronen.

He also made some vital clearances at the back to ensure the Fulham onslaught was kept at bay.
