Dartford boss Tony Burman felt there were plenty of positives for his side to take from Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Wrexham.

The Welsh side led at the break thanks to Wes York’s opener but the Darts were back on terms within six minutes of the restart through Tom Bradbrook.

However, the visitors went home with all three points when York struck again 12 minutes from time, although Burman was far from downbeat afterwards.

He said: “I thought it was a decent game.

“I was disappointed with the result but not the performance.

“There were a lot of positives and on another day we could just as easily won.

“Wrexham took their chances but we didn’t take our half chances – that was the difference.

“We looked reasonably fit from pre-season and were very organised, which was pleasing.

“I don’t think it was a fair result but that happens sometimes.”

Dartford now face back-to-back away games against Woking tomorrow and Kidderminster on Saturday.
