Charlton defender Harry Lennon has joined Cambridge United on loan until January 3.

The 19-year-old was handed his debut by Chris Powell as a substitute in the 1-0 FA Cup fourth round win at Huddersfield in late January.

He started the following Championship game at Doncaster, although the youngster didn’t feature again for the Addicks after a 3-0 defeat at the Keepmoat.

But Lennon has been handed a chance to gain regular football with Cambridge United folllowing their promotion back to the Football League for the first time since 2005.
