The top two teams in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance Tier Two West both come from the Eltham Terrace Club and they faced each other this week, with top of the table Rovers triumphing over Rack Pack (2-1 sets, 9-6 frames).

Both teams were unbeaten in the season so far and it was Rovers who started the better, winning the first set 4-1, although Rack Pack's one came from Tony Frost, who cleared the table after a dry break from Ryan Francis.

Rovers went on to win the first two frames of the second set, which included Francis getting his own back on Frost but Rack Pack won the next two frames, with Alex Thompson avenging his earlier loss against Lee Osborn with a 7-baller over him.

Kevin England won the final frame of the set for Rovers with the second of his three frame wins, to give them the second set and Paul Dawson started the final set with a Rovers win and his third frame win.

The next three frames went either way, leaving a final frame decider between two players who were yet to play, Geoff Evans and Ernie Wellhausen and it was the latter who took the frame for Rack Pack, giving them the set and the first Rovers have dropped this season.

This win puts Rovers six points clear at the top of the table.

Pickwick Academicals are only two points behind Rack Pack after their  2-1 and 8-7 win over Lord Clyde.

It was a very close match with Sam Mossom and Martin Luff scoring two out of three for Lord Clyde but Academicals Captain Gary Mason was excellent in his three frame wins, which included two good finishes and with the scores at one set all and two frames all, the match winning frame.

There was another close match between the bottom two teams, O'Dowds A and Royal Oak Addicks, which was won by the same 2-1 and 8-7 scoreline by the Addicks.

It was a real topsy-turvy match with the Addicks winning the first three frames followed by O'Dowds the next three and Addicks the following three,to win the first two sets and take a 6-3 lead in frames.

O'Dowds came to within a frame by winning the tenth and eleventh frames then the final four frames see-sawed with Addicks keeping their one frame advantage but O'Dowds claimed the final set.

It was a family affair for O'Dowds with father and daughter, Tom and Kerry Wyatt winning five of their seven frames.

In the SLKPA Elite League Bellegrove have leapfrogged their opponents, Eltham Terrace Club A into second place with their massive 3-0 and11-4 win over them.

Dan Heinink was the saviour for Eltham Terrace, winning three of their four frames but Bellegrove were dominant with Tony Halpin, Craig Mallinder and Richard Chapman all  recording hat tricks.

O'Connors are four points clear at the top with a 3-0 and 11-4 victory over Foots Cray Social Club Rugrats, which leaves them in sixth.

Royal Oak remain rooted to the bottom of the table after Rileys Rebels beat them by 3 sets to 0 and 9 frames to 6.

Royal Oak can consider themselves unfortunate,as they went ahead in every set only for Rebels to turn it around and win each set 3-2.

Phil Tworek and PaulClements were the heroes for The Oak, each winning both their frames.

Just above Royal Oak, North Heath Social Club got their first win of the season, beating Pickwick 2-1 in sets but they had to share the points as Pickwick won 8-7 in frames.

Pickwick got off to the better start, winning the first set 4-1 but North Heath rallied round to win the next two sets 3-2.

Man of the match was Pickwick's Captain Paul Slater, who won all three of his frames.

O'Dowds Flyers hit the top of SLKPA Tier Two East, by one point after a 3-0 and 9-6 victory over White Hart.

Flyers were consistently good all night, winning each set by the same 3-2 score line, with Keith Smith, Nik Gray and Jon Syta all scoring two out of two but White Hart's Danny Olney went one better to win all three of his frames.

Glenmore Arms II faced Bellegrove Social Club B and it was the away side that came out on top with a 2-1 and 8-7 win.

Bellegrove secured the victory by winning the first two sets 3 frames to 2 but Glenmore fought hard to win the final set by the same score line.

Glenmore Arms A lost their spot at the top after they went down to a 2-1 and 10-5 defeat to Eltham Terrace Nuthouse.

Nuthouse had the better start, with Shane O'Reilly and Ben McIntosh winning the first of their two frames but Glenmore won the next three frames for the set.

Nut house won the next set by the same 3-2 score line to tie the match at one set and five frames each but Glenmore capitulated in the final set, losing all five frames , which included Dave Sparey and Aaron Shephard completing their two out of two.
