DIVING: Crystal Palace Diving Club produced a trio of champions at the national skills (level two) competition in Sheffield.
Callum King (D1 – boys’ 10 years), Millie Riley (C1 girls’ 12 years) and Jack Jefford (E2 boys’ nine years) all topped the podium but they weren’t the only Crystal Palace medal winners from the 32-strong team which travelled north.
Georgia Howard (C1 girls’ 12 years) claimed silver, while there were bronzes for Evie Smith (E2 girls’ nine years), Noah Payne (D2 boys’ 11 years) and Jaida Umo (C2 girls’ 13 years).
The club now move on to sending a group of level three divers to compete over two weekends in Southampton as the south east region age groups.
CRICKET: Bexley Girls played their first friendly T20 match of the season at Hayes on Sunday.
The friendly was arranged in preparation for the new KCB women’s development teams competition for 14-year-olds and above, which can include adult women who are not county players. Hayes set a decent target of 102-6 wickets.
Bexley made steady progress with the bat in trying keep up with a target of fractionally more than five runs per over, but lost wickets regularly doing so.
Bexley’s last batter was run out off the final ball of the 20th over going for the winning run, resulting in an exciting tied match.
The Bexley team was made up of players from the girls sections at Bexley CC, Sidcup CC and Old Elthamians.
TENNIS: Farnborough Tennis Club will be hosting a free open morning this Saturday.
The event gets underway at 10am at the club, which can be found at Tugmutton Common, Willow Road which is off Starts Hill Road in Lockbottom.
Tennis balls, rackets, coaching and refreshments will be provided.

TENNIS: Bromley High School pupil Sasha Hill had a busy Easter holiday on the tennis court.
The Year 8 student won the grade three Sutton U14s Easter tournament and also reached the quarter-finals of her first international contest, the Nottingham junior international, where she beat the number two seed in straight sets and a wild card in straight sets.
This means Hill will now have an international ranking in future events.
