Gravesend Rugby Football Club and Gravesend Dynamite (GRFC wheelchair rugby section) are very proud that two of their players have been selected to represent their country at international level, including games in Italy and France over the coming months.

Both Ben Ide and Jason Owen have been selected to play for England Wheelchair Rugby 7's in the Six Nations Competition 2014. Last year this was won by France with Italy 2nd and Ireland picking up the triple crown.
Trials over the past months in Liverpool have brought together a strong squad for England head coach Martin Beddis and he hopes that these will prove a stronger force to be reckoned with in the 2014 series of matches.

The squad of 10 has been chosen with players from the north and south of England, remarkably including two from Kent - both of which are from Gravesend RFC, who only established a wheelchair section in September 2013.
The first game for this new squad takes place in Italy on 31 May, followed by the Six Nations in Paris over the week-end of 19/20/21/22 June.

Congratulations to Jason and Ben who'll both be swapping the black and white GRFC stripes for their white England shirt!
