Cray’s five-season stay in the Ryman Premier League came to an end as a 4-0 home defeat to promotion-chasing Kingstonian confirmed relegation.

The Wands had gone into the match unbeaten in three and on the back of two straight wins, but found Kingstonian a different proposition as the visitors ran out comfortable victors.

Cray got off to a good start and came close to scoring a few times in the opening quarter of an hour before Kingstonian took a grip on proceedings.

It was no surprise on 23 minutes when the impressive Andre McCollin scored with a fine header from a great right wing cross.

Only some fine goalkeeping from Darren Behcet and wayward finishing by the visitors ensured it only remained 1-0 at the break.

The second half was almost completely dominated by the opposition and they doubled their lead on 66 minutes with a fine header by skipper Sam Page.

McCollin, who had earlier in the half hit the post twice, scored again from the penalty spot on 82 minutes.

And following a defensive mix-up, substitute Charlie Knight completed the scoring three minutes from time.
