Ian Holloway has admitted the Simeon Jackson deal hasn’t worked out as how he would have envisaged so far.
Jackson, who has two goals in as many games, is finally showing signs of finding form since his January arrival from German side Eintracht Braunschweig, albeit the Canadian international’s recent two strikes having both come from the spot.
But despite the slow start, the Den manager feels it is just how football goes sometimes.
Holloway explained: “I thought Simeon could have put us in front 3-1 on Saturday and was unlucky with a diving header after.
“That’s what’s happening at the minute.
“What do you say would have happened if we’d gone 3-1 up after we had that breakaway?
“Hindsight is telling me it hasn’t quite worked at the minute.
“I’ve got some tough decisions to make and I’ll make the one I hope will give us the right result.
“It’s either worked or it hasn’t.”
He added: “We’d have started that momentum but then it stops “Sometimes that’s football for you.
“Who’d have thought Arsenal wouldn’t have won a trophy for eight years after they were the Invincibles.”
