JUDO: The medals have been piling up at United Judo Club in Dartford recently.

At last week’s Northern Ireland open, a Great Britain ranking event, 11-year-old Jayden Seal claimed silver and Braydon Quinn, 17, bronze.

Head coach Dave Quinn collected gold at the Hungarian international masters open in Budapest, despite only deciding to take part at the last minute.

There was also a podium finish for team-mate Mick Quinn, who returned home with a bronze from his first ever international event.

Closer to home on the same day at the Medway friendly championships, the club’s youngsters enjoyed no shortage of success as Seal won the club of the day trophy.

Gold - Teddy Gibbons, Amelie Parfitt, Joshua Ryan, Sam Hamilton and Skip Callard; Silver - Chris Tomkinson, Frankie Warren, Jaimie Clark and Max Corbett; Bronze - Alex Le Warne, Sean Wills and Joe Lawry-Johns.

DIVING: A 24-strong team from Crystal Palace Diving Club travelled to Leeds for the three-day G-Star championships and bagged 13 medals.

The competition featured clubs from across the UK and included some of the Team GB divers who recently competed at the world series in Dubai.

Crystal Palace medal winners were: Gold: Kyle Kothari (boys’ A+ platform), Noah Williams (boys’ B 1m springboard and B 3m springboard), Amelia Connolly (girls’ C 1m Springboard), Scarlett Mew-Jensen (girls’ C 3m springboard).

Silver: Pele Julien (boys’ C 1m springboard), Mew-Jensen (girls’ C platform), Tyler Humphreys (boys’ D 3m springboard and D 5m platform).

Bronze: Georgia Ward (girls’ A+ platform), Williams (boys’ B platform), Julien (boys’ C 3m springboard), Maria Papworth (girls’ C 3m springboard).

The U13s hockey team won all of their games in an eight-a-side invitational tournament at Colfe’s, winning all of their games and amassing 40 points on their way to becoming tournament champions.

And on the tennis court, the intermediate pairs squad of Sasha Hill, Negin Mortazavi, Alex Zamar and Estella Durnford were undefeated at the Kent Schools doubles contest, both winning their respective sections to book spots in the finals.

FOOTBALL: Thamesmead Town U13s have won the Kent Cup after beating Vinters 3-1 at Faversham Town FC.

Harry O’Rouke ,Harry Hudson and Ethan Coombs were all on target and Mead are are now on course to win the double as they sit top of the Kent Division North.

EQUESTRIAN: Mount Mascal Riding Club in Bexley made a successful defence of their British winter championship crown at hartpury in Gloucestershire.

Mount Mascal were represented by the same team of four young riders who won in 2013 - Shannon Buckley (He’s As Good As Gold), Ellie Cannaford (Cheeno’s Little Cruise), Mia Vasquez (Kinnard All Star) and Kirsty Warner (Easton Whisper).

Junior team manager Carley-Ann Hartigan said: “I think the girls felt rather in the spotlight entering the competition this year and this could have distracted them, but they were very determined to retain the trophy for the club.

“Their result was another real triumph.

“No other team in the competition finished on a zero score and you cannot do better than that.”
