The points rained in at Goddington Dene as Westcombe Park hammered basement side Barking on Saturday.

What started as a one-sided affair soon became a procession rather than a contest.

The visitors arrived in Orpington having not won a single game this year and struggled from the kick-off.

Combe were able to run riot and rattle up the points, but only did so by sticking to the basics, keeping the ball alive and making the numbers in support.

The hosts enjoyed plenty of possession and found wide open spaces to exploit and yawning gaps in the visitors' fragile defence.

Combe’s try scorers were Tom Gray (4), Trent Nattrass (2), Jon Wright (2), Michael Adeniya (2), Ryan Hackett (2) with one apiece from James Sheppard, Nikki Davies, Graham Purdy and Iain Gordon.

Gordon also knocked over 13 conversions, and one penalty.

Barking got on the scoreboard once with a try from Joseph Touma from a lineout drive, but they had been well and truly blown away by a rampant Combe side, eager themselves to avoid the drop.
