Ian Holloway has revealed Scott Malone has an outside chance of featuring in Saturday’s crunch Den derby with Charlton.

Millwall take on their neighbours in a proverbial six-pointer desperately looking to bounce back from last night’s disappointing 1-0 loss at Blackpool.

And the Lions could be boosted by the return of left-back Malone after he had to come off with a hip injury in last weekend’s win away to Derby County.

However, the news isn’t so positive on DJ Campbell and Danny Shittu, who were also injured in the same game.

Holloway confirmed: “Hopefully Malone might be the only one with half a chance.

“DJ Campbell is going to be two to three weeks.

“Danny Shittu might have a more serious problem than that.

“It’s his Achilles, he’s got to get it assessed by specialists.

“That doesn’t look good at the moment.”

Charlton are currently bottom of the Championship but have four games in hand of their rivals, although Millwall’s manager insists that does not matter unless the Addicks can pick up points.

Holloway explained: “They’ve got to win those games.

“It’s proving difficult for everyone down at the bottom at the moment.

“I still can’t believe it to be perfectly honest with you.”
