WESTCOMBE Park staged a monumental comeback to snatch a win in the final minutes by the narrowest of margins with a last-gasp success over Bury St Edmunds.
For much of the game the Orpington side had trailed, conceding four first half tries to the visitors through Chris Snelling, Ben Radmill, Dan Garrard and Tanino Samoa, with Jesse Rush slotting two conversions.
Combe replied with tries from Tim Kavanagh, Ben Hennah and a penalty from Iain Gordon, but trailed 13-24 going into the break.
Bury extended their lead with a try from Sam Bixby and with half an hour to go Combe were staring defeat in the face.
But a counter attack started by Niki Davies and Chris Lewis brought another try for Hennah before Combe closed the deficit to two points with a close range try by Sam Davis, also converted by Gordon.
The momentum was now with the hosts and Bury were firmly on the back foot.
And with just minutes to go, Gordon put over a penalty to complete an epic turnaround and secure what for long periods had looked the most unlikely of victories.
