THERE were numerous impressive performances and new personal best times from Orpington Ojays Swimming Club’s younger members in a noisy junior sprint gala at Beckenham Spa pool.
Swimming against neighbouring clubs, a large OOJ entry finished with a record haul of first three place medals.
Gold medals were won by: Edward Pauling (2), Edward Sellar (nine-year-old events); Tamryn van Selm, Callum Baronti (10-year-olds); Lili Cutajar (11-year-olds); Anna Cvjetan (3), Max Leeves (2) and Clio Bacon (12-year-olds).
Leeves also collected four silvers, Bacon claimed a further three silvers, while Cutajar and van Selm nabbed a pair of silvers apiece.
Other silver medal recipients were: Rachel Langdown, Alice Bennett, Will Dennis, Ben Langdown (2) and Justin Strover (2).
There were also relay wins for the mixed OOJ teams in the 10 and under freestlye event and the 11 and over freestyle and medley relay events.
In the top boy and girl age group awards there was further success with top swimmer trophies for Sellar, Strover and Leeves for the boys and Cutajar and Clio Bacon for the girls.
