With three games left of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance winter season, O'Connors have gone a step closer to lifting the Premier Division title.

This week's 8-7 victory over their nearest rivals, Rileys Woolwich, has put them thirteen points clear at the top and made them odds on favourites for the trophy.

It wasn't all doom and gloom for Woolwich though as Clive Black came away with three wins out of three.

Bellegrove Social Club A closed the gap on Woolwich with a convincing 11-4 win over bottom team Rileys Rovers.

The first two frames were shared but Bellegrove went on to win the next nine frames to go 10-1 up and seal the victory.

Rovers did win the next three frames to make the score more respectable and should have took the final frame but Dan Vowles was adamant he was going to finish the match unbeaten on three wins, which included an excellent single visit clearance in the second set.

Also unbeaten on the night was Paul Shrimpton who won both of his frames.

Fourth placed Pickwick got back to winning ways with an 11-4 win over Glenmore Arms A.

Paul Thomas kicked it off for Glenmore, then George Hammond equalised and Dean Coppen put Glenmore ahead again before Gary Dixon performed a break and dish and Martin Storey won to give Pickwick the first set by three frames to two.

Dean Greaney-Parr won on his debut to tie the match again but Pickwick's experience showed, as they won the next eight frames before Paul Thomas finished the match as he started, with a win.

It was a good team performance for Pickwick, with George Hammond, Martin Storey and Paul Gafa all winning two frames each.

North Heath Social Club started well against the team above them, Foots Cray Social Club, taking the first set 3-2 but Foots Cray extended their lead in the table to fifteen points by winning the last two sets 4-1 to make the final score 10-5.

In the final set Foots Cray made their two breaks count as both George Covington and Steve Krishnan broke and dished, with Krishnan's being his third frame win of the night.

Foots Cray's Captain Scott Shephard is showing a return to form, going unbeaten for the second week in a row after his two out of two this week.

Summerfield Nuthouse are now only five points behind their opponents, Rileys Rebels after this hard fought, even match gave them an 8-7 victory.

They won the first two sets 3-2 to take a 6-4 lead then the final set went one way and then the other  with Rebels finally taking it 3-2.

Trevor Biggs and Alex Dobbins both won their two frames for Rebels but Barry Barham went one better in winning all three, as did Craig Jones and Shane O'Reilly for the Nuthouse.

By pure coincidence first also played second in the SLKPA Division One, where Eltham Terrace Rack Pack hosted O'Dowds B and it was the second placed team who came out on top with a 9-6 victory.

Rack Pack's Chris Unwin worked hard to turn his team's fortunes around with two wins out of two and Miro Cujic made a brilliant break and dish but it wasn't quite enough on the night, as Richard Chapman and Dave Mitchell won all three of their frames for O'Dowds and Keith Smith chipped in with two frames.

This win puts O'Dowds level on points with Rack Pack but the leaders stay top as they have one more win.

Pickwick Academicals rise three places into third with a great 12-3 win over Bellegrove Social Club B, who were in third place but drop to sixth.

Academicals played some excellent pool with Captain Gary Mason and Chris Bracey playing especially well with three frame wins each.

Summerfield stay in fourth but are on equal points with Academicals after their 8-7 victory over Glenmore Arms II.

Glenmore battled hard as they were a man down and could have won the match if they had the full complement, as they won the first and last set 3-2 and it was only Summerfield's dominance in the second set, winning it 4-1 that gave them the match.

None showed the battling spirit more than Captain Jason Brunton who won all three of his frames, as did Keith Day for Summerfield.

O'Dowds A are only one point behind Summerfield in fifth after beating White Hart by 8 frames to 7.

It looked as though O'Dowds were going to run away with it as they took the first set 4-1 but White Hart repaid the compliment in the second set to tie the match at five all.

Alan Dolan put O'Dowds in front then Ian Cruwys equalised with his third victory of the night and Nela Behar put White Hart ahead but the ever dependable Clive Forrest and Kerry Wyatt won the final two frames to give O'Dowds the victory.

Royal Oak Addicks went to bottom club Fox under the Hill looking to get back to winning ways and they did just that with a comprehensive 12-3 win.

Michael Kent, Lee O'Brien and Darren Reynolds were the inspiration behind the victory, all securing three frame wins.
