MILLWALL manager Ian Holloway is relishing the visit of in-form Reading tomorrow when Nigel Adkins’ free-scoring side enter The Den.

The Royals have scored 14 goals in their last six games, beating Bolton 7-1 and Blackpool 5-1 respectively at their own ground.

But Holloway is delighted the game will be taking place at The Den and has challenged his players to go one better than the midweek 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.

He said: “I’m glad we’ve got them at home.

“They’ve scored 12 in their last three games, but they got beat 2-0 at Ipswich.

“It’s another game for us, it’s another game in front of our supporters.

“I want our supporters to be exactly how they were the other night - very vocal, very excited about how we were trying to attack and score.

“When we went one down they stuck with the lads because they were giving them the bare minimum they deserve, which was effort.”

And Holloway said his side should hold no fear as the improving Lions look to make it three unbeaten on their own patch.

He said: “All I can try and do is lift morale, give them more organisation, give them new impetus on what I’m asking and be strong with it and hopefully we get a response.

“This washout of a season has been disappointing.

“I promise Millwall fans I won’t be going anywhere, I want to work really hard to make people talk about us in the way I believe that we deserve to be talked about.”

He added: “We’ve got to impose our game on them.

“We’ve got to get in their face, be up for it and challenge them and put the fight in like the last couple of games.

“That’s why I think a slight freshness in the team in certain areas is vital for this game.”
