OLD Elthamians secured the derby bragging rights with victory at Westcombe Park.
They demonstrated exactly why they sit second in the table by racing into a 20-0 lead over their Orpington hosts within quarter of an hour.
James Lindfield and Renford Bennett scored a try apiece with Tom White hitting a penalty, a drop goal and two conversions.
Combe were not seeing much of the ball and White added a second drop goal to make it 23-0 at half-time.
An early try after the restart for Lindfield, again converted by White, extended the lead and it all looked a bit ominous for the home side.
However, Combe began a comeback.
A penalty kick to the corner, lineout and drive saw Hamish Barton plunge over for a score.
And shortly after in an identical manoeuvre, Tim Kavavagh was over with Iain Gordon converting.
Still not done, Combe's Tom Gray intercepted on his own 22 to sprint down the touchline for a third try and a more respectable final scoreline.
