TRING became the second Hertfordshire side in three weeks to run in five tries against Westcombe Park on their way to a convincing win, writes Mike Attewell.
Tries from Richie Roberts, Zak Michalski, and Nick Radley, as well as a conversion and penalty from Will Mitchell, produced 20 points to Tring in the first quarter.
Ben Hough’s try got Combe on the board but it was in the last minute of the half, and a lot of forward pressure, before Reece Conlon scored another which Iain Gordan converted to put Combe in touch at the interval.
Tring took a while to get into comfort mode with another try, Justin Brown providing and Mitchell converting.
Gordan added a penalty for Combe but Tom Newton and Mitchell took the score to 15-34.
Combe's third try from Trent Nattrass and conversion from Gordan opened the prospect of a couple of bonus points but proved to be the last score.
