SOME of the world’s top professional darts players will be on show at The Valley next year as the Charlton Masters returns to SE7 for a third time.

Following the success of the previous two events, Premier League stars Michael van Gerwen and James Wade will be the main attractions when the darting party rolls back into the home of the Addicks on February 28.

Both players have been as high as second in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) world rankings and continue to be major contenders for top honours in big televised events.

Wade, who plays under the nickname ‘The Machine’, is the PDC’s second most successful player with seven major titles to his name, while Holland’s ‘Mighty Mike’ has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence, winning the World Grand Prix and Premier League in the last 18 months.

Joining them will be another Dutchman in the form of Vincent van der Voort, the former UK Open finalist who is well known for his rapid throwing technique.

English darts legend Bobby George completes the line-up for another exciting evening of arrows.

George said: “This will be a fantastic night and it is great to line up alongside three of today’s top players.

“I can’t wait to go back to Charlton, as the crowd were fantastic when I was last there.

“Everyone enjoyed themselves and that is what darts is all about.”

And local darts players will also get the chance to take on the professionals, with details of a qualifying competition to be released soon.

A VIP reception is available for VIP ticket holders, including an exclusive meet and greet session with all four players.
