HULL loanee Cameron Stewart added another goal to his Charlton tally on Saturday afternoon at Huish Park.
But a fine solo first half effort was not enough to help his side earn all three points as the Addicks were pegged back to 2-2 having thrown away a 2-0 interval advantage.
Stewart put Charlton in front eight minutes before the break after collecting the ball from keeper Ben Alnwick in his own half and embarking on a surging forward run, which culminated in a clinical right-foot finish.
But the winger’s performance, which also included providing the cross for Johnnie Jackson to double the advantage on the stroke of half-time, was not enough to earn his side a win.
Yeovil were handed a 72nd minute lifeline when Michael Morrison put the ball into his own net.
And it was 2-2 four minutes later as Andy Hughes tripped Joel Grant and Ishmael Miller made no mistake from the spot.
The visitors then saw influential captain Jackson shown a straight red card for a challenge on Luke Ayling, leaving them holding on in the end for a share of the spoils.
Stewart said: “We were comfortable at 2-0 and then all of a sudden it was all-square.
“I feel sickened by it, it seemed as though we were cruising and then we were down to 10-men.
“The first 45 minutes I really enjoyed myself, and even in periods of the second half we passed it and kept the ball well.
“But ultimately it’s extremely disappointing we didn’t get the three points.”
The goal against the Glovers took his total for the Addicks to three since arriving from the KC Stadium on deadline day and Stewart says he’s thrilled to be in and around the first team.
“At the moment I’m just happy to be playing,” the midfielder claimed.
“I spent a lot of last year not doing a lot, so at the moment I’m just enjoying my football and taking one game at a time.
“Bettering my scoring record is something that I’ve always wanted to do.
“Today I’ve managed to get an assist as well.
“I’m just looking to make people sit up and take notice.”
Stewart’s progress at Premier League Hull City has been thwarted by injury and he’s struggled to get into Steve Bruce’s side.
However, the winger has been given a new lease of life in SE7 and is keen to continue the rich vein of form that has improved his fitness.
“The more I’ve played the sharper I’ve become," he said.
“When I first came to Charlton I was coming back from injury.
“The more I’ve played, the better I’ve done and I hope it has shown.
“I want to go out on the pitch and excite people.”
