Millwall boss rebuffs Wolves' reported interest in winger
STEVE Lomas says Wolves counterpart Kenny Jackett will have to pay top dollar if he wants a reunion with James Henry.
A national newspaper this morning reported the winger was a top target for the League One high-flyers.
But despite not being in the first team frame at The Den recently, Lomas denied Henry was heading out of the club and pointed out only a substantial offer from Jackett would prompt him to reconsider.
“I’ve seen that story today about Wolves but it would have to be a hell of a bid for us to get rid of a 24-year-old,” the Lions boss said after today’s 2-0 win over Leeds.
“Obviously he is not in the squad at the minute but he is very much part of my plans.
“The last thing we as a club want to do is start getting rid of our players in their mid-20s who have got good Championship experience.
“We’ve brought in good experienced Championship players.
“I suppose it is like anything, you’ve got the Financial Fair Play to come up – if Wolves come in with a million-and-a-half we might consider it!”
